Where scale is the point
Above a certain ceiling height an ordinary fixture simply disappears. Berkana's largest compositions run past 200 cm across and several meters in drop, and are engineered per project rather than chosen from a shelf.
What a large fixture needs from the building
Weight, fixing points, access for installation and access for later cleaning all have to be settled early. We give the structural figures before the design is finalised, so nothing has to be redesigned after the ceiling is closed.
